Under the U Hold the Key brand, Parsons Containers is a leading provider of self-storage, with the mission of being the go-to brand for drive-up self-storage in the North East. U Hold the Key has 12 sites and has been operating since 2001. The brand was awarded ‘Best multi-site operator’ in 2023 by the Container Trader and Self-Storage Association. U Hold the Key’s values are service, integrity and innovation. We are a small team who work with collaboration and autonomy while keeping these values at the center.
Role Purpose
Site managers are U Hold the Key’s customer ambassadors. They meet our customers at their key collection appointment and at other key moments in their journey with us. Customers who hire a UHTK container generate an average of £1,000 revenue and some stay with us for a decade or more. Our site managers make this customer loyalty possible by serving our customers and ensuring the integrity of our service.
Key responsibilities
* Provide our customers with seamless customer experience in close communication with our customer services team. You will arrange with the customer services team when to meet the customer on site for their key collection and understand any individual needs and questions that need to be addressed at the appointment.
* Ensure customers remain safe by giving them a container store operations briefing and highlight rules they need to follow on site at their key collection appointment.
* Maintain company standards on U Hold The Key sites, including carrying out light maintenance duties or reporting issues to Head Office.
* Be the company’s eyes and ears on site. Your observations will help us innovate and enhance the value we offer our customers. Reporting unusual activity maintains security and keeps our customer’s trust.
* Take accountability for secure processes on site, including storage of spare keys and site access fobs, when issuing keys and taking instruction from the credit control manager.
* Respond to health and safety emergency call outs in line with our operating procedures and risk assessment. These occur infrequently (for example) when customers are stuck on-site.
Working hours and conditions
* Hours are variable and based around appointments made between customers and Site Managers.
* The role is expected to be between 5 to 10 hours per week.
* Appointments and call outs can include evening and weekend working.
* Place of work will be outdoor, on different U Hold The Key sites at Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and South Shields.
Personal Qualities and Required Skills
* A preference for working with customers and experience delivering excellent service.
* Ability to collaborate with our customer service, operations and credit control managers and work independently.
* Excellent time management skills, to be on time for our customers.
* Personal integrity and motivation to uphold service and standard of our sites.
* A willingness to learn and improve our service.

Pay: £11.80-£17.37 per hour
