Unite People are working with a specialist, regional construction contractor to hire a Site Engineer, focusing delivering a range of commercial, industrial, residential and mixed-use new build projects. You will be working with local, tight-nit team £100k - £7m in value, as part of multi-disciplined contractor that pride themselves on customer satisfaction and repeat business. The ideal Senior Site Engineer will be able to demonstrate experience of working with a build, civils or construction contractor. You will have a proven history of both hands-on setting-out experience, as well as providing technical support to projects and value engineering. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and have a keen eye for detail, proficient in health and safety and understanding the whole build process. The right candidate should be determined to see the project through from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: Setting-Out of all construction elements of a project; including foundations, groundworks, roads, 278 works, steel frame, bolts, slabs and externals. Manage and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team. Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is being carried out to the highest quality standards. Implement and enforce quality control measures on-site. Collaborate with the project team to resolve any quality-related issues promptly. Qualifications: CSCS Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
