What's the role?
This role is responsible for financial accounting of assigned entities and monthly reporting to stakeholders. Ability to deliver on-point analysis and commentary is key to success in this role. Management of results is a key deliverable, timeliness and accuracy are imperative. Process improvement offers enhancement and growth opportunities to this role.
This is a key role within the business which will offer exposure to senior stakeholders, and opportunity to add real value in a growing business with scope for progression.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for accurate & timely accounting for assigned entities, in line with the relevant accounting policies.
* Responsible for preparation and presentation of monthly financial results, including delivery of variance analysis against budgets.
* Preparation of weekly bank reconciliations.
* Preparation of accruals, prepayments and other journal entries.
* Management of balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items.
* Cash forecasting and tracking.
* Assisting in the preparation of short and longer-term budgeting and forecasting.
* Supporting the audit process (both internal and external).
* Seek ongoing process, procedures and controls improvement opportunities and reporting enhancement to meet & anticipate stakeholder needs.
* Assist with implementation of system changes, updates, and developments in line with business needs.
* Provide additional general support and complete ad-hoc tasks as required by the financial controller/finance director.
* Responsible for key controls governing the processes.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have/be:
* A fully qualified Accountant.
* Strong technical knowledge of management accounting principles and techniques.
* Use of accounting systems, D365 (or similar) is preferred, and familiarity with all Microsoft packages; with proficient excel skills.
* Ability to analyse and present data.
* A demonstrated track record of controllership.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain information in a clear and understandable manner.
* The ability to work closely with and build relationships with different departments and stakeholders at various levels.
All of our roles are based on 40 hours per week, with a 30 minute unpaid break for lunch.
