About The Role
Job Purpose
As part of an maintenance team shift following the Campus rules, procedures and processes you are responsible for the safe and efficient execution of both planned and reactive maintenance as well as minor project workscopes on the full campus production equipment including Biogas facility.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Being proactive to ensure legislation and company health, safety and environmental standards are met at all times.
2. Be aware of product safety and quality standards and implications of not conforming to Food Safety Management System requirements.
3. Complete planned and reactive maintenance on all production equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring all findings and root causes are identified and recorded in the CMMS.
4. Demonstrate confidence and encourage creativity in troubleshooting across all production equipment, implementing improvements which will avoid any similar repeat problems.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with all personnel including providing effective handovers both verbal and written to endure smooth transition.
6. Analyse equipment condition and efficiency identifying any issues, rectification work and improvements.
7. Manage breakdown situations efficiently minimising production downtime while identifying and rectifying the root cause of the problem.
8. Understand, build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
9. Complete internal and external safety and technical training as part of your personal development plan that you will drive.
Additional Responsibilities
10. Form part of the emergency response team.
11. Participate in Continuous Improvement by making recommendations to achieve a safer and more efficient way of operating and working.
12. Apply automation, mechanical or electrical isolations and inhibits as required.
13. Updating CMMS master data, PPM’s, spare parts and documentation.
14. Actively engage in ongoing improvement projects as directed by Line Manager.
15. Manage contractor and vendor workscopes and personnel.
16. Attend department and management meetings as required.
17. Assist packaging and brewing team during operations.
About You
18. Time-served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
19. 3-5 years spent working in an FMCG maintenance role or similar post apprenticeship
20. Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
21. Comfortable with the use of PC’s specifically Microsoft Office.
22. Excellent communication and organisation.
23. Ability to read and understand technical drawings i.e. P&ID’s, single line diagrams, data sheets etc.
24. Ability to troubleshoot and think on your feet.
25. Willing to work 12 hour shifts on a 4 day / 4 off / 4 night / 4 off rota.
