Tower Hamlets Education Partnership (THE Partnership) aims to rise to the challenge of ensuring that all children and young people in Tower Hamlets achieve exceptional outcomes and thrive. By fostering an effective, schools-led partnership of schools, THE Partnership builds on 25 years of excellence and a strong culture of collaboration to continue to raise standards in Tower Hamlets.
THE ROLE
THE Partnership is seeking a visionary and dynamic education leader with a proven track record of delivering transformational improvement and outstanding outcomes for children in a primary or secondary school setting. They should have been creative and forward-thinking, with experience of innovative and effective problem-solving in dynamic and challenging circumstances.
Tower Hamlets boasts one of the most diverse populations in the UK. The ideal candidate will have experience of leading in a similarly vibrant, ethnically and socio-economically diverse, place.
Home to highly rated schools and with a strong upward trajectory in educational attainment, 96% of schools in the borough are Good and Outstanding, and Tower Hamlets is one of the top performing London boroughs.
However, the journey is far from over. Critical challenges remain, including around supporting schools to raise attainment further.
The incoming Chief Executive will be instrumental in fostering an inclusive and collaborative partnership spanning early years, primary, secondary and special schools. They will help to ensure that schools across Tower Hamlets welcome and support the children, young people, parents and carers from diverse communities, cultivating a truly inclusive educational environment.
THE Partnership values diversity in all its facets, including gender, disability, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation and identity. In addition, THE Partnership would consider applications from candidates who would like to work flexibly (including to accommodate another role or as part of a job share arrangement).
