ROLE SUMMARY AND OVERVIEW: Our client is a leading mid market IB, which is looking for an exceptional Assistant Director to join its generalist M&A team to help to accelerate its growth ambitions, particularly in relation to cross sector private M&A transactions. The role will include: Managing the execution of M&A transactions, including takeovers, acquisitions, divestitures and other related activities. Pitching specific M&A ideas to clients. Reviewing and preparing financial and valuation models in relation to potential transactions. Working with sector and sponsor coverage teams. Drafting and providing input to relevant transaction documents. Taking responsibility for key internal M&A processes. Taking a significant role in the training and development of junior team members Key capabilities and knowledge: The best candidate will have good experience in M&A transactions, strong project management skills, good communication and team skills and a strongly analytical mindset. The Assistant Director will have the following attributes: A minimum of a 2.1 degree or equivalent from a top university 4 years’ M&A experience from an investment bank, boutique or accountancy firm Strong numerical, analytical and project management skills Demonstrable drive and determination – a self-starter Competitive nature, demonstrable high achiever Strong work ethic Strong inter-personal skills
