The company is a specialist consultancy in the build environment, based in London. They support a diverse range of clients, including developers, architects, and contractors, with the aim of helping them take advantage of the opportunity that sustainability has to offer. The team is small, but they get the opportunity to work on large projects with a significant amount of impact. Their key values include honest communication and problem solving in order to build relationships, which has been a large part of their success shown in the number of repeat, long term clients they have. Over the summer internship, you will be supporting project work, so having passion for, and an understanding of sustainability is a top priority. There will be a lot of numerical data to work with, including producing graphs, and using advanced formulas, so experience with Excel is a must. As you will need to present your findings from this data, the ability to present technical data using clear communication will benefit you greatly. If you have experience or a familiarity with Python, and Building Regulations, then that as a bonus too What we’re looking for: Understanding of sustainability and the built environment. Experience using PHPP, Design Builder and/or IES iCD or VE. Great writing skills, including clear and concise report writing. Comfortable in delivering presentations. Eager to learn and explore new ideas and subject areas. Desirable: Knowledge of the UK planning process and Building Regulations. Proficiency in Sketchup Pro and/or AutoCAD.
