The Opportunity:
We are seeking passionate and creative Online Teachers to join our growing team. You will have experience of teaching KS3 and KS4 English/ Maths/ Science/ History/ Geography or RE. You will play a vital role in delivering engaging and effective online lessons, including live, interactive sessions, developing original educational content, and supporting students in achieving their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver High-Quality Online Teaching:
* Provide engaging and interactive online lessons, both live and pre-recorded, that cater to diverse learning styles.
* Utilise a variety of online teaching tools and platforms to enhance student learning, including facilitating dynamic live sessions.
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
* Create Innovative Educational Content:
* Develop original and engaging educational content, including fun interactive activities and video resources.
* Collaborate with the Head of Curriculum to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives and our educational philosophy.
* Contribute to the development of a rich and diverse online learning experience.
* Embrace Technology and Software Systems:
* Demonstrate proficiency in using various online teaching platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and educational software.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging educational technologies and incorporate them into teaching practices, including the delivery of smooth and effective live online lessons.
* Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to students and colleagues.
* Foster a Supportive and Flexible Learning Environment:
* Build positive and supportive relationships with students, creating a safe and inclusive online learning community.
* Provide individualised support to students, addressing their specific learning needs and challenges.
* Adhere to our ethos of flexibility and adaptability, ensuring that all students have access to quality education.
* Safeguarding:
* Maintain a high regard for the safeguarding of all pupils, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
* Identify and report any safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.
* Content Creation and Filming (Where Applicable):
* Potentially participate in on-location filming for educational content, as required. This may include planned sessions with designated videographers, adhering to a pre-planned schedule.
* Contribute to the planning and development of on-location filming projects, considering factors such as subject matter, location, and cost-effectiveness.
* Contribute to overview of curriculum intents in each subject.
* Contribute to overview of filming on-location – dates, which teachers, which videographer, cost.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience in online teaching or a strong understanding of online learning principles, including the successful delivery of live online lessons.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially within live online environments.
* Strong technological proficiency and familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms, and confidence with live lesson delivery software.
* Ability to create engaging and original educational content.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to contribute to curriculum overview documents.
* Ability to follow and contribute to the Curriculum Creation and Filming-on-Location processes.
* Experience in developing and delivering fun, creative, and original learning.
* Experience with multimedia content creation.
* Experience with LMS systems.
