Salary: Grade B - £25,136 - £27,398 (£13.03 - £14.20 per hour)

Term Time Only – 15 hours per week

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a permanent Minibus Driver to join our supportive and talented team at Tewkesbury Academy. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our students, contributing to their positive school experience.
Position Details:
Hours: 15 hours per week, with set hours from 7:00am to 8:30am, Monday to Friday. The remaining 7.5 hours per week will be agreed upon with the successful candidate based on business needs. There is also the potential for additional driving hours if desired.
Location: Tewkesbury Academy, located north of Gloucester, just off the M5 motorway.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Transportation: Safely transport students from Gloucester to Tewkesbury Academy in the morning, following a set journey and timetable.
Assistance and Safety: Provide assistance to children to ensure their safe entry and exit from the minibus. Ensure all children maintain appropriate and safe behaviour during transportation.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily checks to ensure the minibus is in good working order before and after use. Report any issues promptly.
Additional Duties: Collect children from local primary schools for their swimming lessons. Be responsible for the safety of passengers, other road users, and members of the public.
Ambassador Role: Act as an ambassador for the academy, promoting and adhering to the Federation’s values and ethos at all times.

The CLF SCITT provides school-centred initial teacher training for graduates who want to become a primary or secondary school teacher.
Safeguarding and pre-employment checks:
The Cabot Learning Federation are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role has significant responsibility for ensuring safeguarding practice within the academy. This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
The successful applicant will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive pre-employment checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK and a child disqualification check. The checks will also include an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list.
