Mintra fully supports hybrid working, however you will be required to come into the office to fulfil tasks within the role, hence why you will need to be located near to our office in Aberdeen.

About the job:
The current IT engineering team consists of three support engineers reporting directly to the Software development and internal IT Director. We are hiring an IT Manager that will lead the team of IT support engineers and will be responsible to oversee and implement various IT projects, document and maintain IT systems, and support internal personnel with IT related issues. Mintra has a hybrid working model and IT support is provided across multiple territories. This position will be hands-on with some element of people management.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Oversee the IT support team, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff.
* Develop and maintain an effective technical support service ensuring client satisfaction, with a focus on continual improvement.
* Monitoring SLAs to ensure they are met and improving service delivery.
* Leading IT projects, and ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
* Providing expert advice and support for complex technical issues.
* Enforcing IT policies and procedures to ensure operational consistency and security compliance.
* Participating in strategic planning for the IT department, aligning IT initiatives with business goals.
* Implementation of service monitoring and reporting facilities.
* Administration of virtual and cloud environments (VMWare, AWS and Azure).
* Procurement and implementation of IT equipment, services and software.
* General desktop / laptop configuration and support.
* Scheduled and ad-hoc site visits to regional offices as required.
* Ensure all IT systems are reliable, stable and secure, and are recoverable in the event of a catastrophic failure or malicious attack.
We'd like you to have:
* Bachelor’s degree or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
* Proven experience in network configuration and maintenance, preferably using Aruba network equipment.
* Proven experience in VMWare configuration and maintenance.
* IT security and business continuity processes.
* Understanding and experience of continual improvement processes.
* Extensive experience with using Microsoft operating systems.
* Experience of Linux will be beneficial.
* Experience using technologies like Azure and AWS will be beneficial.
