This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Software Engineer to join a well-established, blue-chip company in a highly technical role working on innovative projects.
This company has been established for 50+ years and they are experts in their field. They are publicly listed and have an excellent reputation for how they treat their staff. They are now looking for a Software Engineer to work on both green and brownfield projects.
In this role you will be responsible for both Software (Firmware) Development and Process Engineering. This includes Functionality and GUI Design, Software Authoring, Validation and Verification, Process Flow Development, Best Practices Generation etc.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role working with Firmware and Software using both C and C++. You will have experience with IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio), Version Control and Electronic and Electro-mechanical components (sensors, communication buses). Any experience with modern microcontrollers (STM32, PIC etc.), CMake, CI workflows, UML and safety protocols (IEC 61508, 26262 etc) is desirable but not required.

The Role:
*Responsible for both Software (Firmware) Development and Process Engineering

*Based fully onsite, 36.5 hours per week, 08:30-17:00 Mon-Thu, 4pm finish Fridays
The Person:
*Proven experience in a similar role working with Firmware and Software using both C and C++
*Experience with IDEs, Version Control and Electronic and Electro-mechanical components
*Any experience with modern microcontrollers (STM32, PIC etc.), CMake, CI workflows, UML and safety protocols (IEC 61508, 26262 etc) is desirable but not required
*Must be UK based, sponsorship is not available for this position
