Resource Provision Support Assistant Are you compassionate and caring with the ability to engage and encourage learning in a Resourced Provision setting within a Secondary school? Do you have an interest in working with SEND pupils (Year 7 to Year 11) If you have answered yes to the above questions, then we would love to hear from you This is a long-term position that has an immediate start date. The working hours for the role are 8:30am –3:30pm Job responsibilities: In this role, your main responsibilities will be: Supporting pupils on a 1-1 basis Working with them academically and through activities to improve their development and learning Be willing to provide additional support for toileting and personal care (this is part of the role, and the school has been clear on their instructions that all support staff need to be willing to cover this) Be willing to work with students who can have challenging behaviour The successful candidate will have: Experience working within schools, preferably as a Learning Support Assistant A background in providing personal care for adults or children Strong behaviour management skills Patience and a calm demeanour at all times Flexibility A sound knowledge of English, Maths & Science Benefits: Access to training and CPD Competitive pay rates and receive a weekly pay An opportunity to learn new skills and be provided with training Build on experience leading to career progression and other opportunities such as pastoral or behaviour mentor roles If you are interested, please apply to this role for immediate consideration.
