About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Hydrographic Data Processor. This role involves working under guidance, conducting Bathymetric processing and maintaining quality and consistency of data processing and deliverable creation.
The Hydrographic Data Processor will prepare reports based on Geophysical survey data and interpretation, and create hydrographic charts and chartlets in QGIS or ArcGIS. The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Hydrography, Marine Geography, Marine Sciences or a related field.
**Job Responsibilities:**
* Conduct Bathymetric processing and assist in maintaining quality and consistency of data processing and deliverable creation
* Prepare reports based on Geophysical survey data and interpretation
**Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Hydrography, Marine Geography, Marine Sciences or a related field
* Working knowledge of hydrographic multibeam systems, motion reference units, side scan sonar and magnetometer systems
* Ability to work both independently and as a team, have a can-do attitude and a strong verbal communication skillset
* High attention to detail while under pressure to ensure all relevant information is identified, extracted, and reported
The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
