The project\: The construction of a new nuclear plant in Somerset, 15 miles from Bridgwater, currently one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe. Client focus - Deliver on our promise\: You will ensure quality systems are suitably managed in line with service excellence. You will support delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones. You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of Project Managers and senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project. Supporting the Project Managers to drive the delivery of the contracts or package activities to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, to budget, meeting business and technical requirements. Monitoring and tracking achievement of contract deliverables against agreed baseline schedule milestones and deadlines, providing key stakeholders with progress and variance anaylsis reports on weekly and monthly basis. Identifying and recording risks at programme and contract levels. Working with all stakeholders to eliminate and/or reduce schedule and cost risks. Supporting commercial teams to develop and updating the programme/contract budgets, escalating any potential issues to the project manager. Supporting the Project Manager with NEC/FIDIC contract administration duties including managing compensation/change events, variations, requests for information, field change requests and project managers instructions. Maintaining oversite of the Tier 1 contractors’ supply chain to ensure Nuclear Safety is maintained. Support the Project Manager with submission and associated governance processes for project change requests (PCRs) including - scope definition, business justification, budget transfers and implementation. Checking production and output of level 3 schedules for various contracts or packages of work. Ensuring such schedules are consistent with overall project schedules. Liaising with HPC site delivery team, suppliers and contractors to ensure all pre shipping actives are complete to facilitate seamless delivery in line with schedule requirements. Assisting in vetting contractors’ resources, ensuring they satisfy SQEP requirements, promptly identifying any personnel shortfalls or issues with the contractors’ project team. Maintaining effective communications with all stakeholders and executing the project or PEP strategies within their contract or package of work. Supporting the commercial teams with contract administration and reporting duties, monitoring performance against forecast using of earned value management (EVM) processes and tools. Applying the principles of continuous improvement, ensuring that lessons-learnt and knowledge-capture are practiced as business as usual. Interfacing with other programmes to ensure a high-level view of how the total project is progressing and to identify and adopt the use of best practice. You will manage parts of projects independently, with oversight from other Project Managers. You’ll need to have\: A degree and working towards chartered status in an engineering, construction, physics, management or other related field. Digitally proficient with good working knowledge of information managements systems covering contract administration, technical data, 3D models, databases and reporting tools. Ability to build lasting professional relationships and support/lead strong, motivated teams. You’ll also have: Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. Experience in project management, ideally in a property or infrastructure sector. A developing knowledge of commercial and financial considerations. Experience of developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
