Job overview
39,000 children in England are missing from education. Together, let's change that.
At Fresh Start in Education, you'll have the chance to transform the lives of vulnerable young people who've been left behind by traditional schooling. Many of our students are disengaged and out of education - but with your creativity and passion, you can inspire them to reimagine learning.
By linking YouTube to English, baking to Maths, gardening to Geography, you’ll turn the world into their classroom. Working 1:1, you’ll tailor sessions to their unique needs and interests, sparking curiosity and confidence. While you focus on your student, our Education Team will handle the logistics and be there to support you every step of the way.
Ready to make a difference? Let’s give every child the fresh start they deserve.
Contract and Responsibilities:
* This is a bank staff contract for short-term provisions (6-12 weeks) - flexible work around your schedule.
* You will be required to plan and deliver inspirational sessions to your student, empowering them and bringing them hope.

You will need:
* a minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working with vulnerable children or young people

* to demonstrate an excellent and creative delivery of numeracy and literacy (as well as other subjects) across Primary levels
* to be available for at least two consistent days each week
* experience using alternative methods of communication, including BSL
The benefits:
* Additional £15 per session available to use for resources and activities.
* Subsidised travel and refreshments.

The dedication and compassion of our staff continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve, helping to shape brighter futures for generations to come. But we can’t do it without you. To find out more about how you can make a difference in the lives of our students call 020 3409 6410. We would love to speak with you.
Due to the nature of the work and our commitment to safeguarding our students, you will be required to undergo thorough background checks including ID, Right to Work and employment checks and will also require an enhanced DBS.

Independent Tutoring and Education programmes for children excluded from school in the UK
At Fresh Start in Education we specialise in the re-engagement of students who have been excluded from school or are out of education. This includes students who are at risk of exclusion or have already been permanently or temporarily excluded, school refusers, young offenders, those with emotional or behavioural difficulties, serious health issues or those who are generally disengaged from education. We work with all ages from early years through to adult.
We provide bespoke, child-centred, high quality education programmes, which ensure that all the students that we work with have outstanding opportunities to re-integrate into regular or specialist education. We provide the encouragement and tools for students to develop and apply the knowledge, skills and understanding that will help them become successful at learning, confident as individuals and to live productive and responsible lives.
