Personal Injury Solicitor/Legal Executive

Due to the expansion of their Personal Injury Department, our client is looking for an experienced Solicitor/Legal Executive to join their busy team. By joining the Personal Injury team, you will have a caseload consisting of Portal/Intermediary and Multi-track cases. The Personal Injury team are recognised by national and professional associations, including Headway, the Brain Injury Group, the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the Law Society Personal Injury Panel, The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners 2024. You will be running your own caseload but will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Partners in the department.
Experience
This role is best suited to a Solicitor/Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. However, less experienced candidates who can prove they have the skills and qualities below will be considered:
1. Experience of medium to high value claims (up to £250,000)
2. Experience using the EL and RTA portals, including issuing and conducting Stage 3 hearings (‘Low Value Protocols’)
3. Pre and post-litigation experience (outside the portals – intermediate and multi-track work) for RTA, EL, OL and PL
4. Able to conduct own caseload with minimal supervision
Knowledge and Key Skills
1. Excellent organisational skills
2. Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
3. Effective oral and written communication skills
4. Commercial and financial awareness including ability to take responsibility for financial control of own client matters
5. Able to develop positive relationships with clients and manage client expectations
6. Effective prioritisation with ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
7. Marketing, networking and business development skills commensurate with the role
8. Ability to work with no secretarial assistance utilising the firm’s case management system
9. Knowledge and understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and other relevant regulatory requirements
10. An understanding of the Polish language would be an advantage
