The HR Director, Commercial is a strategic partner to the senior leadership team within the commercial function and will be crucial in driving business growth and fostering a high-performing organizational culture. This role involves developing, implementing, and leading innovative talent strategies and culture initiatives to attract, grow, and retain a diverse, top-talent leadership pipeline. As part of the HR Leadership Team, and reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, you will collaborate with Abcam leaders to advance talent strategies and cultural excellence. Located in Waltham Boston USA or Cambridge UK. You will also lead OpCo-wide initiatives designed to transform our organization to enhance performance In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Provide Strategic HR leadership: Utilising data and key insights, support development and execution of the HR Strategy that supports the company's growth and operational goals, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. - Champion talent management & development: Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent. - Drive engagement and retention: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by managing employee relations, addressing employee concerns, and resolving conflicts. Implement policies and procedures to promote employee engagement and connection between their work and Abcam's objectives and strategy. - Improve Leadership effectiveness and Performance: Enhance the skills, abilities, and behaviours of leaders within the commercial organisation. Create development plans and succession strategies to ensure a robust leadership pipeline within the commercial team. - Be culture building: Champion initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture, ensuring alignment with company values within the commercial teams. The essential requirements of the job include: - You hold a relevant degree in relevant field within Human Resources, Psychology or Business Management, additional HR accreditation from CIPD or SHRM is preferred. - You have 8-10 years of experience as a HR Business Partner and already have a solid expertise within all aspects of the employee life cycle, performance management, organisational development, change management and leadership coaching and development. - Ability to synthesize business data and develop innovative and holistic HR solutions that are forward-thinking and innovative. - Strong business comprehension and ability to apply human resource implications. - Demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity. - Solid team skills, the ability to build and sustain relationships, and be able to work efficiently and effectively with associates at all levels of the organisation. - Strong understanding and application of organisational design, change and process excellence principles.
