Product Engineer for Battery Pack Development
Are you ready to be at the forefront of innovation in the commercial vehicle sector? We are seeking a talented Product Engineer to join our dynamic team in Milton Keynes. As we embark on the development of cutting-edge battery packs, your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of electric mobility.
Position Overview: In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with our esteemed electrical design team on the creation of revolutionary battery solutions. Your presence on-site for an average of 2 days per week ensures seamless integration within our collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own the design and release of electrical commodities and components for various battery programs.
2. Ensure adherence to design validation plans, engineering specifications, and standards.
3. Lead issue resolution and implement changes to meet program objectives.
4. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure component performance and quality.
5. Analyse technical requirements to optimize manufacturing and cost efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Degree in relevant Engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
2. Proficiency in complex Electrical Distribution and Automotive Systems (Battery experience preferred).
3. Familiarity with CAD tools, particularly PTC CREO.
4. Experience managing design through production programs across multiple battery programs.
5. Strong understanding of automotive/battery pack hardware and control systems.
6. Knowledge of BEV and PHEV battery technologies is advantageous.
7. Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
8. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and prioritization skills.
