We are assisting a Local Authority in the appointment of an experienced Social Work Assistant to join their Children's Social Work Team in Birmingham!
Hybrid Working - Minimum two days in the office, with the remainder home-based.
As a Social Work Assistant, you will work closely with social workers and families to provide vital support for children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting social workers in their day-to-day duties to support children and families.
Carrying out joint visits with social workers to meet the needs of children in care.
Supervising family time sessions between children and their parents/carers.
Engaging in direct work with children to understand their experiences, wishes, and feelings.
Supporting parents and foster carers to ensure children's needs are met.To be a successful candidate for this role you must have the following:
Experience of direct work with Children.
