We're seeking a Business Analyst to join our Business Engagement team in Digital Services. In this role, you'll work on projects across the council using your skills to find ways we can improve our services.
About the Role
As a Business Analyst, you’ll work collaboratively with stakeholders across the Council to identify needs, define business processes, and deliver innovative solutions that drive efficiency and improve outcomes for our residents. You will play a critical role in projects that span a range of all of our service areas, to ensure the solutions meet our needs and are aligned to the Digital Strategy for the Council.
Responsibilities:
1. Analyse our business processes and solutions, and find ways to make improvements.
2. Work with different teams to identify their business requirements.
3. Design solutions to problems.
4. Support project management, development, procurement and delivery processes.
5. Help us drive technology to improve our services.
Skills & Experience:
1. Experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in the public sector.
2. Ability to understand how businesses and organisations work.
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical language to stakeholders.
4. An ability to map out business processes.
5. Skills in analysing information and solving problems.
What we're looking for:
1. Enthusiasm, a good communicator, and stakeholder management abilities.
2. Someone who can ask probing questions and challenge existing working methods.
3. The ability to capture detailed information and create meaningful content, and document it into clear and logical processes.
