Your new role The primary focus for the new appointee will be to support the finance team in transactional reporting and liaising with customers for predominantly the 3 largest businesses within the group. This is a varied role that requires strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills. This role will suit an ambitious, part or fully qualified AAT candidate with strong attention to detail.Typical duties will include: Transactional processing, sales and purchase ledger Assisting the accounts payable / credit control team with ledgers Assisting the team in the delivery of internal monthly deadlines and key reporting Assisting with the preparation of year-end, supporting schedules and annual audits including the provision of information to auditors Processing and controlling expenses and credit card transactions Assisting with operation of client monies account Responding to relevant client enquiries Weekly invoice / sales ledger processing Processing of bank transactions into the accounting system Preparation and distribution of statements and all relevant information Other general administration duties as required What you'll need to succeed Experience in Sage (preferred but not essential) AAT qualified or working towards AAT qualifications, or qualified by experience Proficient IT skills, experience of Microsoft packages, particularly EXCEL Demonstrable organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload and planning Excellent communication, ability to build good working relationships with stakeholders Strong decision-making skills, ability to problem solve and use initiative High levels of attention to detail and accuracy What you'll get in return Competitive annual salary up to £34,000 dependent on experienceFull-time permanent role, office based, Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm 30 (mins lunch)Free parking23 days annual leave plus banks, incremental with service6% employer pension contributions What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
