In support of this we are now looking to recruit a Platform Specialist to join the platform and infrastructure team. The successful candidate will manage and lead on securing, developing and supporting identity services within a large and complex business applications stack, and will have a good understanding of identity workflows, access monitoring and reporting tools. It is an exciting time as we grow the Digital & IT Directorate to meet the needs of our university partners as they continue to move ahead with their ambitious growth plans. You will have the support of the wider IT Service Delivery team and have the autonomy to lead on major software solution projects. About You The successful candidate will be reporting to the Platform and Infrastructure Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing a significant number of delivery projects as well as managing standard day-to-day BAU issues. This includes ensuring the timely delivery of KPIs and managing the balance of time between BAU and project work. The ideal candidate would have the following experience: A strong background in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain, with deep understanding of authentication, identity verification and assurance Good understanding of Microsoft PowerBI and Microsoft SQL Server Demonstrable skills within SSO, MFA, Conditional Access and similar technologies to provide seamless access across multiple software platforms including Microsoft Entra, Office 365 Enterprise Applications and other SaaS solutions Identity federation and identity management concepts, approaches, protocols and standards such as OAuth2, OIDC, W3C verifiable credentials and SAML Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and workflow automations with DevOps or similar technologies Experience of utilising secure REST APIs Windows server infrastructure For further details on the skills/experience required for this role, please see the full job description above. This is a permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week position working Monday to Friday. We are able to offer this role on a hybrid basis with a mix of on-campus and at home working.
