Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term or Secondment ending 31 March 2026
Salary: £70,086 - £79,174 per annum pro rata

Your Role And Responsibilities
* Be accountable and responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of health services provided within Suffolk County Council (SCC) Children and Young People Services (CYP).
* Be responsible for strategic leadership, operational and clinical management of specific clinical teams.
* Work collaboratively with other senior corporate management team members in determining and delivering CYP strategic plans and managing the health service performance and ensuring robust governance across the organisation’s functions to ensure the vision, aims and objectives are fulfilled.
You will be responsible for developing and ensuring delivery of health requirements in:
* Nursing/Clinical teams
* Clinical Governance and Quality (including clinical effectiveness and audit)
* Risk Management (including health and safety); Information Governance and Health Records Management
* Strategic oversight of vulnerable children and their families, safeguarding policies and procedures.
This is an exciting time to join the Community Health team as we look to transform our services for children, young people and families.
The team
You will join a senior management team led by an Assistant Director and existing Head of Service with responsibility for a number of health functions including, but not limited to:
* 0-19 Public Health Contract
* Keyworker Provision
* Specialist Services including Children in Care, Learning Disability Nursing Team and Enuresis Team
* Young person’s crisis mental health service.
You will need to
* Be a registered nurse with current registration with the NMC with no restrictions on practice.
* Have significant senior management experience of leading health services within the NHS, Private Sector or Local Authority.
* Hold additional post graduate qualifications at degree or diploma level.
* Hold a level four safeguarding qualification.
