The post will be situated mainly at Grantham Hospital with specialist trauma lists and elective clinics at acute sites The Lower Limb Arthroplasty Unit at ULHT has ten substantive Consultants. The Fellowship is run by Mr Rambani, Mr Antapur, Mr Rowsell and Mr Othman, but there will be an opportunity to work with all of the lower limb arthroplasty Consultants. The team sees a wide range of elective hip and knee arthroplasty cases, including revision arthroplasty as well as specialist trauma referrals such as peri-prosthetic fractures. The successful candidate will be encouraged to continue to develop their sub-specialty interest, contribute to revision network and also to the general work of the department including a strong teaching commitment, clinical management and effective team working. You will be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and ideally have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Orthopaedic Surgery or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.
