As a member of the Internal Audit department, we want you to support Santander in realising its purpose and strategic goals through our vision, 'Internal Audit, Assuring the Future'. As part of the Professional Practice team, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the audit teams to deliver high quality audits and drive the continuous improvement of the department. The difference you'll make: Supporting the continuous improvement of the function, in a fast-evolving environment Facilitating change to transform the way we work, by developing and embracing innovative solutions, including the use of data and digital tools to change the way we work Maintaining the Internal Audit Methodology and supporting guidance that encompasses industry best practice as well as meeting the expectations of our stakeholders Developing and delivering the quality assurance strategy and plan which provides assurance over all aspects of the department Creating and delivering training to support the on-going development of knowledge and skills Supporting the development and maintenance of the Internal Audit Plan What you'll bring: These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role: Proven track record in external / internal audit including experience of performing internal audits and / or quality assurance reviews of internal audits An in-depth knowledge of Internal Audit Standards and their application Organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to influence and maintain stakeholder relationships Working knowledge of digital and data tools and techniques It would also be nice for you to have: Experience in the financial services industry and its regulatory framework Hold a relevant professional qualification What else you need to know: This role is based in Milton Keynes. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
