Job Summary:

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting the classroom teacher by helping deliver high-quality education and care to students. Responsibilities:
* Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons, offering tailored support to individuals and small groups.
* Help foster an inclusive, positive learning environment that encourages active participation and mutual respect.
* Provide one-on-one support, reinforce lesson concepts, and assist students with independent work.
* Collaborate with the teacher to implement strategies for students with special educational needs (SEN) or learning difficulties.
* Monitor, record, and report on student progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
* Support classroom management, promoting positive behaviour and consistent expectations.
* Contribute to planning and preparation of resources to meet student needs.
* Offer pastoral care and emotional support, ensuring the social and emotional well-being of all students.
* Maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff to support overall progress.
* Ensure the safety and welfare of students by always adhering to safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
* Previous experience as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or similar role is highly desirable.
* Passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young learners.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
* Sound knowledge of teaching strategies and educational practices.
* Understanding of special educational needs, with the ability to implement support strategies.
* Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching team and follow instructions.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
* Strong organizational skills to manage classroom resources and activities effectively.
* Willingness to undergo necessary background checks, including a DBS check.
