BAM Construct is recruiting a Financial Accountant, based in Camberley, Surrey. This is a permanent role reporting to the Financial Controller and a key part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to join BAM and gain excellent industry experience. The aim of this role and the Finance function is to create value, reduce risks and drive higher margins through proactive management, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
A flexible work schedule is on offer with a mix of office and remote work.
Your mission
• Support key financial processes including monthly segment performance reporting and bottom-up forecasting. Ensure reporting and forecasting timelines and requirements are met.
• Support in the preparation of key planning and budgeting outputs.
• Assist with the review and constructive challenge of overheads reporting and help with the continuous improvement of the quality of reporting and variance and trend analysis.
• Support in the preparation of balance sheet and other reconciliations to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.
• Support identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to support the drive for efficiency and standardisation in the FP&A function.
• Assist with cash flow and other business forecasts.
• Provide support on ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Finance professional with a passion for learning and a good sense of humour who enjoys working as part of a team. You will be keen to contribute to the achievement of the Business Segment’s long-term strategic growth and will ideally have some or all of the following:
• Newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
• Experience of basic Microsoft packages.
• Highly motivated, committed individual with a track record of delivering good quality finance outputs.
• Desire to improve processes and procedure.
