Key Responsibilities: Production Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the joinery workshop, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled team of joiners, cabinet makers, and workshop staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment. Quality Control: Ensure all joinery products are manufactured to the highest standards, adhering to company and client specifications, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to review project plans, interpret technical drawings, and provide input on material selection and manufacturing methods. Resource Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment needed for production, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimization of waste. Process Improvement: Continuously assess production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality. Health & Safety: Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices. Client Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on production progress and ensuring their expectations are met. Requirements: Proven experience as a Production Manager in a joinery, carpentry, or furniture manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of bespoke joinery production techniques, materials, and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in leading and developing production teams. Proficiency in production planning software and MS Office. A strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in joinery, carpentry, or manufacturing. Experience with CNC machinery and automated production equipment is a plus.
