Planning Partner About the role : The planning team are the guardians of creating industry leading, unrivalled work at W avemaker. Wavemaker UK is looking for a Planning Partner to join our growing planning team, to lead the planning community at W avemaker and driv e excellence in our unrivalled planning work. In this role, you will: Planning Team leadership: · Lead and set the direction of the Planning team with the support and leadership of the Head of Planning · Have a cross agency discipline role ensuring you are championing the Planning team across the agency. · Build an external presence on behalf of the W avemaker Planning team including panels and with other clients. Media planning craft: · Own the W avemaker Provocative Planning Philosophy, ensuring its cascaded and used across the whole agency. · Lead the planning output across multiple clients and across the agency. Ensuring agency planning outputs are consistent and can create unrivalled work. · Develop thought leadership, landscape and market updates that can be applied across multiple clients, have a clear overview and W avemaker perspective to them · Lead developing and cascading training / upskilling across the agency. · Have a heavy presence with clients to elevate key planning stages / critical projects. · Drive new solutions and method s within planning responses, including innovation and tech solutions that will push the industry and discipline forward. Core skills: Practice Area Knowledg e - Expert- Serves as an expert on industry as well as tools and technology and becomes confident using relevant thinking from other disciplines. Demonstrates collaborative relationship outside of comms planning and shapes direction of agency. Advises stakeholders around comms planning trends, displaying a deep knowledge and how it impacts businesses. Drives organization-wide recommendations on comms planning development. Represents comms planning function within wider agency and helps other specialisms get maximum value. Ensures that complex communications are crafted with all audiences in mind; coaches others on the best way to simplify terminology and use visual aids to describe plans. Ensures the right processes and practices are in place to support the generation of communications that allow for clear and consistent comprehension of complex and technical information across the business and externally. Successfully represents the business by consistently delivering emerging information in interesting and engaging ways to external stakeholders and the public, expertly explaining complex concepts in a universally understandable way. Compelling Storytelling – Expert - Anticipates future strategic business needs and develops rationale for investing in projects or initiatives now to meet long-term objectives. Successfully represents the business by delivering communications strategies and information in interesting and engaging ways to internal and external stakeholders. Can expertly communicate planning, creative, and conceptual strategies through compelling storytelling that unifies internal and external teams to drive business forward. Serves as an expert on the organisation and marketplace, applying knowledge of emerging industry and media trends to guide business decisions. Ideas Creation – Expert - Develops strategies to bring new technologies, innovations and products to life. Challenges the client and team in innovating and designing new solutions, methods and products to remain competitive and lead the industry. Comms Planning – Expert - Leads agency and industry thinking on best practice in comms planning. Development of new solutions or processes to reflect changing nature of industry and consumer.
