Every so often we look to create a new opportunity to bring in a talented senior leader from outside the Group. This helps us bolster the strength of our senior team and provides us with the talent to support our growth plans. This role has been the stepping stone for several talented people to join the team and move their career forward at a pace. We have one such opportunity now and are recruiting for a new Project General Manager in the Midlands (and surrounding area).
To be a success in this role, you must have a significant track record of being a successful Motor Retail General Manager operating in the franchise dealership network. You will need to quickly establish yourself in a business, motivate and develop a team with a high level of drive, energy, and enthusiasm. You must have a great work ethic, high personal standards that match our Values, and be able to cut through the noise to generate results.
The role will report to both our Chief Executive and to one of our Operational Board level directors. You will adopt placements around the Group before ultimately being appointed to a more permanent role, either as a General Manager in a larger format dealership or into a more senior role where appropriate. We have a proven fast-track on-boarding and induction program which will ensure you understand our business model and can succeed quickly. While no promises can be made on promotion, the majority of people recruited this way now have great careers in the Group, from high-ranking General Managers to director level. Some enjoy the variety of the Project GM role and the challenge of leading new teams to success.
