Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef De Partie to join our busy gastro pub in Shackleford. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a chef de partie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare dishes by following our recipes and menu specifications.
2. Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen at all times.
3. Prep fresh ingredients to our specifications.
4. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
6. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
7. Help keep the kitchen clean and tidy at all times.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience as a CDP or in a similar kitchen role is required.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
4. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
5. A passion for good food and willingness to learn new techniques.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
Compensation and Benefits
£12.50 per hour plus a generous share of cash and card tips. Christmas Day and New Year's Eve off. Free meals on long shifts. Due to the location of the Cyder House, own transport is essential.
