The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and strategic Sales Director to join MTECH, our new passenger vehicle brand. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, ensuring alignment with the business' long-term objectives. A key part of this role will be building and leading a high-performing sales team, covering regional management, fleet sales, training, and sales support.
Additionally, you will have full responsibility for sales planning, forecasting, and target setting, ensuring the effectiveness of our distribution channels and planning strategic market entry. This role will be pivotal in driving LEVC’s mission of accelerating sustainable mobility and a carbon-neutral future.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
Oversee sales planning, forecasting, and target setting to optimise market performance.
Lead the sales training system, ensuring a high standard of commercial capability.
Manage retail finance programs, defining strategy and selecting third-party providers where required.
2. Commercial Operations & Market Growth
Ensure commercial projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope.
Lead forward sales planning to support supply chain and production requirements.
Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure distribution effectiveness and market intelligence.
Manage the sales operations budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
3. Network Development & Market Expansion
Oversee retail partner selection and management, ensuring the development of Retail Standards, Trading Terms, and Contractual Agreements.
Lead the network onboarding process, sales training, and retail environment programme to enhance customer experience.
Develop and implement strategic new market entry plans, overseeing approval and execution.
4. Customer Experience & Brand Advocacy
Oversee customer lifecycle management, CRM and SAP integration, and customer service operations.
Develop and implement customer satisfaction and advocacy programs to enhance brand loyalty.
Ensure effective customer complaint management, data compliance, and technical support services.
5. Team Leadership & Development
Recruit and lead a highly skilled team across regional management, fleet sales, training, and sales support.
Take full accountability for the Dealer Management System and its effectiveness.
Foster a high-performance culture, inspiring and developing a results-driven team.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Master’s degree or higher (preferred).
* 15+ years’ experience in automotive sales and marketing, with expertise in sales planning, forecasting, vehicle logistics, and network operations.
* Proven ability to build and scale sales teams, drive commercial success, and optimise distribution strategies.
* Experience in network development, sales operations, and customer experience management.
* Broader commercial exposure across marketing, aftersales, branding, and distribution is a strong advantage.
* Experience in automotive manufacturing or EVs is beneficial.
