As an Intern in our Human Resources team, your role will be based at our HQ in Southend-on-Sea in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a Human Resources team who support almost 1,000 employees across the UK & Ireland. This is a 12-month placement, commencing July 2024. We will support you with relocation, as the placement will require you to work on-site on a hybrid basis. With this being a heavily project-based role, you will have the unique opportunity to work across the key functions within HR including HR Operations, Talent Acquisition and Compliance. Your key responsibilities will include: - You will assist in the onboarding process for new hires, which includes the ongoing review of our induction and onboarding experience for new employees - You will respond to basic employee inquiries, and support the resolution of minor employee issues or concerns - You will have the opportunity to participate in projects related to legal and regulatory compliance and assist in HR projects such as process improvements or system implementations - You will provide recruitment assistance to the Talent Acquisition team which includes posting job openings on various platforms and assisting with screening applications - You will assist with general administrative tasks such as filing and data entry, as well as managing and updating employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) What is the application criteria? - You will be an undergraduate studying a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or Business with Human Resources Management - We often deal with people-related issues, so having strong interpersonal and communication skills is essential - Being ethical, maintaining confidentiality, and handling information discreetly are all critical needs of the role - You will have a good understanding of cultural diversity and sensitivity All applications must be received by the closing date of 09.02.2024 and will not be accepted after this deadline.
