The Role Wessex Internet are now looking for an experienced, self-motivated and engaging individual to join the team. Reporting to the Head of Construction you will be responsible for the supervision of the external contractors and ensure they are working to are terms in line with the MSA. You will be expected to take the lead on all projects and ensure the works are running to time in-line with the programme of works provided by the client and report back build concerns to the regional delivery manager and Contractor so good communication and record keeping are essential. You will also be responsible for quality checking and approving the builds to enable payment to be released. You will need strong knowledge in compliance and health and safety. It would be your responsibility to ensure that job packs, material and system requirements are all managed. Therefore, previous experience in a similar role is essential as well as previous PIA and new build environment knowledge. Responsibilities Streetworks compliance HS Scheduling and permitting compliance Practical assurance based on MSA terms or terms of PO Enforce the terms of the MSA throughout the build process Ensure the works is being recorded correctly through Vitruvi and to specification. Ensure all new sub-contractors are being inducted through HS Maintaining good relationships with local authorities through site compliance and engagement. Requirements Experience in street works working environment and an in-depth knowledge of New Roads and Street Works Act 1991. Experience in managing contractors through MSA Good knowledge of Health & Safety specifically CDM Experience of delivering projects and budget awareness Previous experience in a similar role (Civils Supervisor minimum) Understanding of Local Authority permit to work Schemes and FPN’s Experience conducting H&S / quality audits, managing SHEQ on site Problem solver, experienced supervisor that can suggest design changes/deal with issues as they arise Full UK Driving Licence Benefits 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
