Job summary Consultant Cross Sectional Radiologist with sub-specialty Interest in GI Radiology FT/PT The advertised post is for a substantive consultant diagnostic radiologist with a subspecialty interest in GI and HPB radiology at Barts Health NHS Trust. We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our existing team of 83 radiologists based at The Royal London and St Bartholomew's Hospitals who support the existing service and the active training program. The post will be based at Mile End Hospital, The Royal London Hospital and or St Bartholomew's Hospital depending on need and subspecialty interest. The successful applicants should have completed training in diagnostic radiology and be within 6 months of their CCT. They should have a specialist interest in either Hepatobiliary or Luminal GI radiology. They will be required to obtain ILS training and spend some of their reporting time (likely one day per week) at Mile End hospital depending on need. Main duties of the job The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent general emergency radiology skills and have extensive experience in all aspects of cross-sectional imaging including ultrasound, trauma imaging and plain film reporting. A specialist interest in GI or hepatobiliary imaging is preferred and experience in GI Intervention is desirable. You will join our dedicated team of 73 general radiologists and 5 dedicated GI Radiologists who currently support general Imaging services as well as the rapidly increasing demand for liver and GI imaging particularly in relation to CT and MR Imaging, GI fluoroscopic procedures and supporting the specialist MDT's.
