The Adult Social Care Workforce and Fair Work unit is looking for a pro-active, adaptive and self-motivated team player, who will play a crucial role in supporting the team in developing key policy decisions and driving Fair Work Initiatives for the workforce in the adult social care sector in Scotland. Brief summary of role Actively support work across the Unit and Division to ensure all briefings and commissions are delivered within timescales, contain accurate information and have high quality narrative. Manage the MiCase responses for the Unit and support the wider workforce division as required. Provide a high-quality secretariat function for key meetings and the Fair Work Workstreams. Provide effective and efficient business coordination activities on spending and headcount forecasting in conjunction with Deputy Director Responsibilities Briefings and correspondence Actively support work across the Unit and Division to ensure all briefings and commissions are delivered within timescales, contain accurate information and have high quality narrative. Support Programme by providing administrative and secretariat functions to wider Programme meetings, working groups, workshops etc. Lead on Ministerial Correspondence and MiCases relating to Fair Work in adult social care, providing high quality written responses and managing the process from initial draft to final response, including providing advice to Ministers where appropriate. Support the wider workforce division to provide MiCase responses as required. Co-ordinate the Units weekly FMQ response – and written and oral PQ’s, Topical Qs, FOIs as required – and ensure appropriate sign off. Provide support to colleagues to produce first draft briefings as required. Support the Unit and Division on data and evidence collection, collation and analysis to inform policy decision making, including briefing senior officials and Ministers Support the Fair Work Programme Workstreams Provide a high-quality secretariat function for key meetings and the Fair Work Workstreams. Maintain a strategic overview of the Fair Work Workstreams and deadlines, and support to ensure that relevant milestones are met; liaising with colleagues to achieve this where necessary. Maintain strong relationships with relevant colleagues across the Scottish Government, as well as Local Government and other key stakeholders. Corporate support Divisions Budget Centre Liaison Officer (BCLO). Responsibility for maintaining financial records and processing grants and payments using internal finance systems. Grant Management, liaising with colleagues to achieve this where necessary, and reporting to the Deputy Director. Information Management Support Officer (IMSO) - setting up files on eRDM and seeking permissions for colleagues to access files. Help to maintain a stakeholder database.
