Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: Starting at 13.50 per hour
Hours: Both part-time and full-time roles available for flexible scheduling
About the Role:
In these roles, you'll be placed within local SEN and SEMH schools, working directly as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant. This hands-on opportunity allows you to bridge the gap between theory and practice, applying your psychology knowledge to support students' unique needs and help create a positive learning environment.
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a closely related field
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Talent for building positive relationships with students and staff
* Experience in educational or support roles is beneficial, though not required
* Passionate about inclusivity and student well-being
* Enhanced DBS check (support provided to obtain this)
Key Responsibilities:
* Offer individualised and group support for students with SEN and SEMH needs
* Contribute to the design and implementation of personalised learning strategies
* Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive classroom setting
* Aid students in building social skills and developing emotional resilience
* Work with teachers and other staff to monitor and document student progress
* Inspire a growth mindset, encouraging students to reach their full potential
* Engage in training and development programs to expand your skills
