Within EP&S Hosting Tower, the Hosting Services Manager is responsible for managing the support, maintenance and development of systems, platforms and services delivered by the hosting and data centre services.
How you'll help us make health happen:
1. Managing vendors and technical specialists to provide pro-active and/or reactive specialised technical support of in VMWare and Windows Server on BUPA's information systems infrastructure on premise and in our cloud based solutions.
2. Providing 2nd /3rd line support that includes ‘Fix on Fail', management of change requests, support requests, proactive performance monitoring and management.
3. Managing Platform(s) for Business Services and application services.
4. Delivering all ‘Small Scale' development projects according to Bupa's Project methodology, ensuring that they are completed to agreed specification, timescale and budget.
5. Managing service providers and contract resources necessary to provide the Platform(s) and Services(s).
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
1. A detailed understanding and practical knowledge with regards to the provision of Platform(s) and Service(s).
2. The ability to provide ‘Thought Leadership' with regards to the provision of Platform(s) and Service(s).
3. Proven experience in managing budget of > £1m and financial planning activities.
4. A wide knowledge as to how the marketplace is developing Platform(s) and Service(s).
5. Practical involvement in all stages of the delivery lifecycle, from feasibility through to support.
