As an assistant accountant, you will ensure an efficient standardized process is in place to enable governance, reporting, and accuracy of financial information channeled through excellent service delivery to the wider Business Unit. You will be responsible for the processing and review of costing journals, recharges, and balance sheet reconciliations.
What you’ll do:
* Prepare and input & review standard journals to general & project ledgers
* Reconciliation & review of primary balance sheet accounts, working with Operating Unit teams
* Calculate, post and reconcile recharges, ensuring appropriate and timely cost allocation
* Support the month-end close process as per the corporate reporting calendar timelines
* Support the Finance Service Delivery Team in delivering the detailed responsibilities as listed in the finance taxonomy (service catalogue)
* Any other tasks and services requested by line management, in accordance with the deliverables and objectives of the team
* Support in audit queries relating to costing journals, recharges, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Continuous process improvement and maintenance of process documents – focusing on harmonization across the various operating units supported by automations
What you’ll bring to the role:
* ERP system knowledge, Oracle Fusion preferred
* Up-to-date knowledge of financial and management accounting practices
* Detail-oriented and analytical
* Customer-focused – experience of working in a shared service environment preferred
* Demonstration of process improvement and automation
