Senior Occupational Therapist Social Services
JustOT are recruiting for an experienced registered Occupational Therapist to work with our well-respected client based in West Midlands.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Access and Prevention Team.
Essential requirements include:
1. Experience of working with people of all ages who have a physical disability, children, and older people in a community or hospital setting.
2. Experience of undertaking functional assessments of people with a physical disability in a community setting is desirable.
3. Experience of undertaking assessments for complex paediatric cases.
4. Demonstrate experience and knowledge of a wide range of specialist equipment to meet complex needs for children and adults to promote independence.
5. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of health and social care legislation, health and safety, risk management, and implications for practice.
6. Able to assess for major adaptations to meet complex needs for children and adults.
7. Demonstrate the ability to make sound clinical judgements.
8. Able to make appropriate recommendations; for example, aids to daily living and/or minor/major adaptations and/or care packages as appropriate to the individual case.
9. Experience of delivering training/coaching to staff of various grades in a range of formats to meet different learning styles.
10. Experience of multi-disciplinary working.
11. Demonstrates the ability to challenge appropriately and sensitively, with an awareness of impact on others to maintain good working relationships.
12. In-depth understanding of the adaptations process and design requirements.
13. Able to undertake supervisory responsibility for staff of various grades including Student Occupational Therapists and apprentices.
14. Willing to promote the role of Occupational Therapy within the workplace.
15. Able to respond positively and flexibly to change in the workplace.
16. Understanding of the principles of reablement and the application within this role.
17. Demonstrate self-motivation, time management, and problem-solving skills.
18. Able to make sound decisions whilst working within a demanding work environment.
Salary: £36.02 per hour, flexible working.
