The practice is a friendly andcohesive unit. We are situated in Redditch town centre with excellent commuterlinks to Birmingham and surrounding areas.
Our list size is justover 17000 patients and is currently managed by 6 partners with 10 salariedGPs, 1 ANP, 1 pharmacist, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 HCA and an excellent administrativesupport team. We are high QOF achievers and we are actively engaged in ourlocal CCG. We have daily meetings and are currently undertaking severalresearch studies. As well as the usualservices, we provide minor operations and musculoskeletal assessment/injectionclinics for several practices. We have motivated and supportive GPs with goodsubspecialty areas of expertise.
Ourideal candidates will be flexible, team players with good communication skills.We are keen to discuss any individual areas of interest or expertise.

Main duties of the job

Thereis a mentoring system in place for all new salaried GP's, both formally andinformally as we always meet for coffee and a chat after morning surgery whilstwe complete the administrative tasks.

Weare a keen Training Practice for GP's, Foundation Doctors andBirmingham/Warwick Medical Students.
OtherGPs have interests in Appraising, tutoring and Primary Care Research .
Wework closely with the other practices within our PCN and one of our Partners isa Clinical Director.
CQCrated 'Good' and high QOF points.We have excellent workflow support tominimise admin as well as dedicated admin time.

Job responsibilities
Job Plan
8.30am 11:30am 15 minute appointments
These are a mix of telephone and F2F, patients areable to choose the appointment type after discussion with our care navigators
After morning surgery we meet for coffee every morningfor a chat including any clinical problems that you may want to discuss.
11.30am -2pmTime for Admin, Visits, Lunch and Education
Our visiting numbers are very low and these areshared out, usually 1 to 2 visits and a maximum of 3 visits (rarely).
2.00pm 5pm/ 2:30-5.30pm - 15 minuteappointments
These are a mix of telephone and F2F, patients areable to choose the appointment type after discussion with our care navigators
Contracted sessions
Mondays and TuesdayAM and PM (4 x sessions in total)
We may discuss Extended Access hours but this willbe agreed separately.
Duty Doctor Session on call 1.30pm 6.30pm.
A share of on call/duty doctor shiftswill be required and you will be informed in advance
Additional duties:Share of repeat prescriptions, Medicine Management .
