Location: Central London, 2 minutes walk from Moorgate Station
Rate: £13.50 per hour
Part-Time, Tuesday - Thursday, fixed days
Shift: 7.00 - 15.30
As a Barista, you will prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other drinks to our customers.
This barista role is for someone who can take ownership of the coffee bar independently. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will make excellent coffee that will delight our customers.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Make an exceptional cup of coffee, good knowledge of coffee machines and grinders.
2. Set up a coffee bar with cakes and pastries, and fill out fridges with bought-in products like sandwiches and salads.
3. Take payments accurately.
4. Stock rotation, temperature checks and allergen management.
5. Maintain a clean and organised work area, including brewing equipment, countertops, and display cases.
6. Follow health and safety guidelines and maintain proper food handling and sanitation standards.
The café is based in a corporate office building. The candidate should be an excellent communicator with all levels of customers, have good time management skills, and be able to plan ahead.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience with a strong background in coffee preparation and serving.
2. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
3. Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently.
4. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
5. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service and operations.
