Poolhall Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading PLC civil engineering & construction company based in the Manchester area.
The Project manager will be tasked to manage multiple ongoing projects to our client's high standard and to the maximum commercial performance.
You will also be tasked with working closely with project engineers, site managers, site delivery teams, and the estimating department to make sure all projects are completed safely, whilst meeting the client's expectations.

Key responsibilities:
* Produce financial forecasts, monitor and control project costs and cost reporting.
* Produce monthly reports to the contracts manager on project performance.
* Build and maintain good relationships with the customer, framework suppliers, and design consultants.
* Deliver projects from the design phase to completion.
* Develop and maintain construction programs.
* Schedule and manage site investigations.
* Ensure production and implementation of project plans, risk assessments, method statements, site waste management plans, and procurement of plant and materials are in line with company procedures.
* Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed.
* Set the highest possible standards of leadership in the promotion of HS&E procedures.
* Ensure all HSE-related documents are kept up to date.
* Produce monthly reports for HSE team.
* Liaise with third parties to ensure compliance with HSG47, HAUC, NRSWA, Chapter 8 and other required regulatory standards.
* Ensure that the QA File is produced and maintained.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working in the civil engineering industry
* Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting.
* Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent
* Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
* CSCS manager s card
* SMSTS
* Knowledge of the NEC contract including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms
