About the Role: The Pupil & Family Welfare Lead will work within our busy Inclusion Team and will report directly to the Assistant Head (Inclusion). This is a key role in the school, the post-holder will be the schools Designated Safeguarding Lead, e-Safety Lead, Prevent Lead, Attendance Lead, Mental Health Lead and a member of the schools Senior Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities include: Act as the schools DSL, ensuring compliance with safeguarding regulations. Monitor pupil attendance and work to improve attendance rates. Liaise with families and external agencies to ensure effective support for pupils. Actioning child protection concerns. Safeguarding pupils. Identifying and scheduling interventions to meet the mental health needs of pupils. What We Are Looking For: Proven experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or similar role, with strong knowledge of safeguarding regulations. Ability to lead and support staff, including delivering training and managing SEMH intervention programmes. Capable of managing attendance monitoring, safeguarding records, and liaising with external agencies. Strong ability to build positive relationships with families, staff, and external professionals.
