Main Areas of Responsibility In this senior role, your areas of responsibility will include: Managing programmes of repair, maintenance and refurbishment of buildings and academy vehicles carried out by premises staff and external agencies, and ensuring high levels of productivity and value for money Overseeing procurement of relevant supplier contracts and managing agreed budgets Overseeing community use of the buildings and ensuring a caretaking and facilities management service is provided Building and refurbishing areas of the academy as directed by the Academy Leadership Group, and contributing personally to repairs and maintenance Building inspection, with any major defects escalated to the Principal Collaborating with site management staff in other academies in order maximise benefits of cross-Federation working Sustainability and Business Continuity, including assisting with sustainability measures and maintaining and making available the Business Continuity Plan Security, ensuring compliance with child protection and site-related health and safety, overseeing security systems and managing the opening and closing of buildings Qualifications & Experience We would like to hear from you if you have: Previous management experience At least three years' experience of working in a facilities based role Understanding of health & safety legislation Organisational ability Understanding of IT Systems For a full job description and person specification, please download the Job Pack.
