A rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help to implement the roll-out of a new Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) at NHS Golden Jubilee for a period of 9 months.
Radiology provides essential waiting times imaging for all Health Boards in NHS Scotland, along with specialist imaging services as the West of Scotland Cardiothoracic Centre and also supports the NHS Golden Jubilee site by providing in-patient imaging. The department currently has 4 MRI Scanners, 2 CT scanners, 5 Cardiac Cath Labs, 4 plain film rooms, 1 Dexa Scanner, 1 dual purpose Imaging/Fluoroscopy room, 6 Ultrasound rooms, as well as numerous Image Intensifiers and mobile units.
Working alongside the PACS/RIS Manager, you will aid the team to support and maintain the current Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS, alongside implementation of the new system. Duties include troubleshooting user issues, outsourcing imaging to third party reporters, preparing simple statistical information for performance monitoring and training of PACS users.
