The Role
Fractional CFO | Brand Hackers
Opportunity to provide strategic financial clarity and help prepare for a future exit.
The Role
As our Fractional CFO, you will work closely with the Founder and Head of Finance to develop a focused 3-year business plan that supports top and bottom-line growth, to create the opportunity for an exit and fulfil the potential for growth. Your role will involve providing financial clarity on key strategic decisions and refining our investment strategy to enable us to hit our goals. We have questions like:
- Should we be spending faster to grow faster?
- How do we set goals that are stretching but achievable?
- How do we turn these into OKRs across the business?
- What should our profit goals be?
With three distinct revenue streams and an unconventional model, you’ll need to understand the intricacies of our business and help position us for long-term success. Your experience in getting a business exit-ready will be crucial in guiding us through this growth phase.
The role focuses on providing strategic financial guidance without being involved in day-to-day operational finance, which is well-managed by our finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and execute a 3-year business plan focused on top and bottom-line growth, positioning the company for a potential exit.
Run a quarterly commercial strategy session.
Provide long term financial forecasting, help us see what we are missing and guidance on investment strategies, ensuring sustainable profitability.
Work closely with the Founder and Head of Finance to make data-driven, strategic decisions.
Help align financial strategies with the company’s ambitious growth objectives and cultural values.
Where needed, support with refining financial processes and systems to take pressure off the team.
About You
This role is perfect for you if:
You have experience as a CFO or senior finance leader, ideally within an agency setting.
You have strong expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and investment strategy.
You’ve successfully helped businesses get exit-ready and understand the key financial preparations for a sale.
You’re skilled at simplifying complex financial issues and turning them into clear, actionable business plans.
You can provide strategic clarity without needing to manage the operational aspects of finance.
You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with leadership teams who are time poor and not in the detail.
You are available to attend in-person meetings in London as required during your 2 days per month.
