Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Knowsley Recovery team to appoint a Deputy Team Manager to support the Team Manager and Clinical Leads to deliver high quality safe and effective care.
This is a demanding role where, as a successful candidate, you will be required to demonstrate high levels of resilience, excellent problem solving and inter-personal skills as well as the ability to provide sound clinical and managerial support to team members. The post holder will also demonstrate a passion for coaching leadership style, quality improvement and attitude which respects and values service users' choice and works alongside them and their carers to ensure they are at the centre of care planning.
Main duties of the job
1. Assist the Clinical Team Manager in carrying continuing professional and managerial responsibility for the Community Mental Health Team.
2. Operate as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary CMHT, undertaking an even balance of managerial and clinical activity.
3. Ensure continuity of care for service users throughout their journey in the community mental health team.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. Implement case load supervision to monitor the standards of service user care.
2. Participate in regular clinical supervision as per Trust policy.
3. Assist in the development and implementation of integrated care pathways.
4. Provide information, education and support for family members, carers and other relevant professionals.
5. Ensure the clinical environment promotes service users' health, safety and well-being.
6. Ensure record keeping is in accordance with Professional and Trust standards.
7. Ensure the safe management of medicines in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct.
8. Work collaboratively with the Multi-disciplinary team.
9. Participate in setting standards of service user care based on sound research findings.
