What will you do?
1. Provide our BIG-IP and NGINX customers with crucial guidance as they migrate to modular and containerized environments. As a trusted advisor you will help customers realize all the benefits of our Application Services across multiple cloud environments.
2. Lead multiple technology challenges, prioritizing by customer and business needs.
3. Through our Knowledge Centered Service (KCS) practices, turn your experience into knowledge for customers and peers.
4. Work closely with Product Management and Product Development on new leading-edge products and technologies.
5. Focus on overall customer satisfaction and a complete customer experience.
6. Lead the resolution outcomes of customer’s complex technical issues, with minimal direction.
7. Work with our newest products and technologies, being curious and having a growth mindset to continuously learn about our products, sub-systems, and other technologies.
8. Work with a small experienced global team that is passionate about the customer’s outcomes, helping each other thrive and being an owner of the resolution.
9. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
10. Articulate deeply complex technical topics to customers, peers, and non-technical personnel in an influential and understandable manner.
11. Defuse complicated technical and political situations with enterprise customers.
12. Be an analytical thinker with attention to detail.
13. Communicate effectively with management on special projects, including project updates, etc.
How do you qualify?
1. Hold a BS in Computer Sciences (or related degree) or showcase equivalent experience.
2. Provide at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
3. 3+ years of knowledge of load balancers, web servers (NGINX), caching, and web-enabled applications and their associated protocols, e.g., HTTP, TCP/IP, WebSocket.
4. 2+ years with SSL, SMTP, DNS, etc.
5. 3-plus years of knowledge of Linux or Unix, preferably at a system administrator level.
6. Comfortable in a highly technical software support environment.
7. Experience with network troubleshooting using tools like tcpdump or Wireshark.
8. Strong working experience with the following:
1. Familiarity with proxy servers (e.g., NGINX).
2. Troubleshooting REST APIs (familiar with JSON and YAML).
3. Scripting and/or Automation (e.g., Python, Shell scripts, Ansible).
4. Cloud platforms and infrastructure (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCE, Terraform).
5. Shell environments (e.g., Bash).
6. Experience with system tools, such as SystemTap and DTrace, are a plus.
7. Comfortable with the layers of abstraction present in virtualization, encapsulation, and clustered computing environments.
8. Familiarity with a wide variety of networking topics.
9. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently, including technical concepts and terminology. Multiple language skills a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material. Duties may require being on-call periodically and working outside normal working hours (holidays, evenings, and/or weekends). Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, up to 10% of time.
