MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To ensure that customer requirements are met to the best of the organisation's manufacturing capabilities, and to liaise with the Customer Services Department to ensure open communication between customers and production.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Compliance with safety rules and policies
2. Ensure AS 9001, BS EN ISO 14001, BS EN ISO 45001 are complied with in all areas of responsibility
3. Constantly communicate with Customer Services Department to provide a lead time for manufactured and semi-manufactured products.
4. Plan, schedule, and coordinate production of the company’s products
5. Evaluate raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
6. Find ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
7. Collaborate in the planning of warehouse activities.
8. Schedule each order in line with documented work instructions.
9. Use the ERP system to ensure the schedule is aligned with material availability.
10. Liaise with various departments to coordinate activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Intermediate computer skills
2. Experience of production planning/ERP systems.
3. Ability to work to deadlines
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills
5. High attention to detail
